What is a Cacao Ceremony?
A cacao ceremony is a heart-centered mindfulness practice rooted in connection, presence, and reverence.
I serve organic ceremonial cacao from Ecuador, ethically sourced from regenerative agroforestry farms. Inspired by teachings I have received from the Indigenous traditions of Nepal, the Maya Tz’utujil, and the Sápara people of the Amazon, we honor cacao, the elements, and the living spirit of nature. Through mindfulness, meditation, prayer, reflection, and somatic movement, we create a sacred space to slow down, quiet the mind, open the heart, and gently release emotions. Together, we journey more deeply within, cultivating clarity, peace, inner awakening, and a deeper connection with ourselves and one another

Born and raised in Nepal, Selina Rai grew up connected to the land, local foods, Ayurvedic and herbal traditions, and the intergenerational wisdom of her family. As Co-Founder of Good Food Community Kitchen, she believes whole foods, traditional preparation, and shared meals can nourish individuals while strengthening education, connection, and community.
Selina bridges ancestral wisdom with modern holistic nutrition, integrating food as medicine, mindfulness, ceremonial cacao, herbal teas, movement, and intentional ritual. Her whole-person approach honors body, mind, spirit, culture, and community while encouraging practical, sustainable well-being.
As a cacao ceremonialist, Selina has studied Mayan- and Amazonian-informed traditions and approaches cacao with humility and respect for its cultural roots, the land, and the communities that have carried these traditions forward. She shares cacao’s nutritional, ceremonial, and cultural significance through grounded experiences that invite presence, gratitude, connection, and mindful nourishment.
