When will registration open and what are the deadlines?

Early-bird registration opens on January 13, 2020. Once registration opens, the deadlines will be posted along with conference registration fees and details. To receive registration updates (and ensure you don’t miss out on any special offers), be sure to subscribe to conference emails (at the bottom of the page).

Note:  NANP Members will save $$$ during pre-registration from January 6-12, 2020, so make sure your membership is active.

When should I book my travel and hotel room?

We recommend you book your travel and hotel room as soon as possible. Limited rooms are available at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa on a first-come, first-served basis. Rooms must be booked on or before Monday, April 6, 2020 to receive the NANP group rate.

Attendees can receive the NANP group rate for up to 3 days prior to and 3 days after the meeting (based on availability).

I want to sit for the HNCB Board Exam during the conference.

The HNCB Board Exam will not be offered at the 2020 Conference.  Effective January 1, 2017 the exam is only offered online.

I want to bring my spouse/children/pets with me. Are they able to attend the sessions and events?

Saturday dinner tickets will be available for purchase for spouse/guests. You will be able to purchase tickets for your guest during the registration process. All professional sessions are closed to registered attendees only. For the comfort and benefit of you and the other attendees, children and pets are NOT allowed at our event. The hotel’s concierge will be able to help you arrange babysitting to make your conference experience more relaxed.

How many people attend the conference?

Approximately 325 holistic nutrition enthusiasts attended our 2019 conference. We anticipate more attendees this year.

Is there Wi-Fi access at the hotel?

Yes. There will be Wi-Fi in your guest room. Guestroom wireless internet is free, but attendees are encouraged to join Marriott Rewards.  Join Marriott Rewards.  We do recommend that you download all presentations to your computers, iPads or other devices before the sessions to ensure you can easily access all the documents during the presentations. Links to the presentations will be sent to registered attendees prior to the conference.

What should I bring?

Aside from your eagerness to learn, be sure to bring something to take notes on/with and plenty of business cards to share with vendors and other attendees. You’ll also want to pre-print presentation slides or load them onto your computer/device.

What should I wear?

The general attire is business casual. Bring a light sweater or jacket. The meeting space will often be quite cool.  If you enjoy a morning activity (yoga, tai chi, etc.) there will be sessions offered on Saturday and Sunday mornings, so be sure to bring your workout clothes.  There is a lot to see around the hotel, so bring comfortable shoes, so you can see and explore with ease.

I want to attend but I am not sure I can afford it. What options are available to help me save money?

We understand how expensive conferences can be by the time you travel to the city, book a hotel room and pay for your conference registration. If you’re a member of the association you can log into your member dashboard and visit our Annual Conference Discussion Forum to search or post about sharing rides or hotel rooms.  If you are a student, be sure to apply for the Bonnie Fisk-Hayden Student Scholarship.

Will there be time to visit Newport Beach?

The conference schedule is packed full of events, both during the day and in the evening. The conference does end in the afternoon on Sunday so you will have time should you choose to stay in the area. If you are interested in touring Newport Beach, we recommend that you book your travel arrangements a couple days before or after the conference. The NANP negotiated group rate is valid 3 days before and 3 days after the conference, based on availability.
