LEGAL AND LEGISLATIVE ISSUES THAT IMPACT HOLISTIC NUTRITION PROFESSIONALS
Please join Laura Waldo, NANP Legislative Affairs Specialist, during the Brunch & Ice Breaker in the Expo Hall on Friday from 11:00 am until 1:45 pm. Laura will answer your questions about state laws, scope of practice, Telehealth, and discuss ongoing legislative efforts across the United States.
In today’s ever-changing landscape of legal rights to practice in each state, our members have peace of mind with full access to the NANP Legislative Affairs Division. Laura will also be available during the conference for personal consultations.
About Laura Waldo
Laura Waldo joined the NANP as the Legislative Affairs Specialist in July 2019. She has more than 20 years of experience in the Information Technology sector, working as a consultant with government and private industry clients.
She became passionate about nutrition when her toddler son was extremely ill, and a diagnosis eluded the medical community. To help her son, Laura began learning about the healing power of food. With the urging of family and friends in the holistic community, she returned to school, graduating from the Nutritional Therapy Association in 2013.
Laura opened her practice in Virginia and began seeing clients but became frustrated hearing stories of practitioners who could not work due to restrictive laws in the states where they resided. In 2017 Laura began her journey of grassroots advocacy and policy and works diligently to promote the rights of practitioners. She is Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition® and continues to maintain her practice while advocating for policy change at the state and federal levels.
Laura Waldo is not an attorney and cannot offer legal advice. Information provided should not be used to substitute seeking professional legal advice.
